Well, with blogherald.com reporting that there are now 66 million blogs in regular use on the internet today, it seems that everyone and their dog is blogging all over the net, except Nick Jennings!
So, slightly late to the show, I decided to start on this whole blogging thing! But of course, me being me I couldn’t just sign up to use one of Google or Microsoft’s services, I had to build my own.
After spending what seems like an age in development I have pretty much completed work on the Nick Jennings blog in both the UK and New Zealand, In reality, it’s only taken about 9 days because of the lack of internet access, but in the current life of Nick Jennings believe me, that’s an age!
I can’t really say how often I hope to be posting here, but to be perfectly honest, I don’t expect it to be read by anyone except myself! That means most of the subjects will probably end up being quite technical, but somewhere on my list of things to do is introduce different post types, so that users can filter out technical posts if they aren’t interested in them!
By the way, on a technical note, has anyone noticed how many times the phrase *Nick Jennings* appears on this page/article? On the page I’ve got about 7 or 8 mentions, which will obviously increase with time, so I’m hoping that will help get this site a bit of Google mojo, particularly considering the domain name! :-)
